Content

• Use clear, concise headings (one H1 per page, use H2/H3 for structure).
• Write plain-language summaries for complex legal topics where possible.
• Provide alt text for all meaningful images; decorative images should have empty alt attributes (alt="").

Accessibility Best Practices

• Ensure sufficient color contrast (WCAG AA minimum).
• Make interactive controls reachable and operable by keyboard.
• Avoid conveying meaning using color alone; add textual cues where needed.

Links and Labels

• Use descriptive link text (avoid "click here").
• Open external links in the same window where possible; indicate when a link goes off-site if needed.

• Provide captions or transcripts for audio/video where feasible.
• Optimize images for web performance and include dimensions to avoid layout shift.

Review & Publishing

• Proofread content for clarity and legal accuracy before publishing.
• Test pages with keyboard navigation and a screen reader when possible.
